i have my last class of the semester tomorrow then it's break until mid-january. next semester i have class at 9:00 in the morning everyday of the week. i am the complete opposite of a morning person. i DO NOT know how i will be able to pull that off...
christmas is a week from tomorrow. WAIT...WHAT?! for real, this year went soo fast. i do want this year to be over though. clean slate. start fresh. '09 better be good!
so the flu has hit pretty hard at work right now (it IS an old folks home, ya know) and the whole building is pretty much on lockdown. we all have to wear masks & gloves and use LOTS of hand sanitizer. the residents aren't even suppose to leave their rooms for anything and visitors are urged to not enter. i'm glad i haven't picked up anything yet. how much of a drag would that be to have the flu over christmas?? so it's been even more quiet than usual in the lobby since i don't get to have anyone to chat with. i've just been reading nylon instead.
lately i've come to realize that i have nothing in common with most of the people i know. they're good people and i appreciate (like, i seriously DO really appreciate) the fact that i still have people i can call my friends, but we have none of the same interests. sometimes i just want somebody that would be happy enough just kicking back and listening to the notwist or watching sometimes-completely-out-there movies rather than going out & getting wasted every other night of the week. i don't know, i'm keeping optimistic.
i wish i was someone who took a lot of pictures so i could break up all this text with a photo or something! =P
